The challenging aspect of the design is the buildings lateral stability with its irregular floor plan coupled with being located in a cyclonic wind zone.

MPCE provided the full design, documentation and site supervision for this project. The challenging aspect of this project was that the structure consisted of multiple split levels on a sloping site. What further increased the difficulty of this project was a considerable amount of the existing walls were to be demolished with no design drawings available. MPCE provided substantial site supervision and worked closely with builder to provide a structural solution satisfying the clients requirement for and open plan layout.

130 Hume Highway, Liverpool

MPCE are providing technical assistance and third party review services on this project. The project consists of three buildings shared on a common podium structure up to Level 5. The tower building then continues up to the concrete roof at Level 32. The building is of reinforced concrete construction with the core providing the stability against wind and earthquake loads. For this project a full wind study was completed to minimise loads on the structure providing the most efficient structure possible.
